Linear motion sensors Vektor PLP1000U, PLP1014U, etc.
The transducers have metal (rigid) measuring elements. Designed for precise and continuous positioning of movable components of various mechanisms and machines, as well as floats in case of its use as a level gauge.
The principle of operation is based on measuring the time interval during which the magnetostrictive pulse arising at the location of the magnetic positioner reaches the acoustic transducer.
Advantages:It is oriented to work as part of autonomous wireless devices, as it is characterized by low power consumption (when measured 1 time per second – 100...200 Ma) and a supply voltage of 3.2...3.6 V.
It can be used for positioning high-speed objects of movement (the polling frequency over the ModBus RTU protocol is above 50 Hz, the tracking speed of movement is 70...90 mm/s).
Digital serial interface UART with support for industrial ModBus RTU protocol.
It is a universal means of measuring linear displacements and has high resolution, accuracy and noise immunity.
It has an ExiaIIBT5 explosion-proof design.
The absence of components and elements, aging and long-term operation of which causes mechanical wear and affects the accuracy of measurement.
High degree of protection against shocks and vibrations.
The possibility of using several movable positioners (up to five pieces).
Floats can be selected:- From the standard range of products manufactured by OKB Vector;
- Manufactured according to the customer's technical requirements;
- Purchased or manufactured from third-party manufacturers.
The design ensures the effective use of the sensor as a liquid level meter (level gauge) and phase separation (media).
When using the sensor, it is recommended to observe the following conditions:- Inadmissibility of liquid crystallization on the measuring parts of the sensor;
- Use floats produced or recommended by OKB Vector. In the case of using third-party floats, it is necessary to make sure that they are workable, and also to ensure (by the design of the float) a mandatory gap between the float hole and the sensor measuring element of at least 4 mm.;
- Take into account the additional measurement error caused by a change in the density of the measured liquid;
- When used in aggressive environments, it is necessary to pay attention to the resistance of the material of the measuring element and the float to this environment.
